説明

Montepulciano is a red wine grape variety grown widely in central Italy, most notably its eastern Abruzzo, Marche and Molise regions. The variety was named after the Tuscan parish of Montepulciano, but, confusingly, is not used in the famous wines produced there (see Vino Nobile di Montepulciano).

REGION: Granite Belt, Queensland

NOSE: Gorgeously fragrant, blueberry notes and crushed red berries with soft, sweet spices.

PALATE: Soft and rich, fresh red and black berries, and dark plum crushed with soft spices and just a hint of vanilla. Inky purple toned with black cherry and cassis, against a backdrop of soft, powdery tannis.

DID YOU KNOW? Montepulciano (‘Mon-ta-pull-channo’) is a medium-bodied red wine grape originating in central Italy and the second most planted red grape in Italy (after Sangiovese).

FOOD MATCHING: Try with herb & garlic marinated lamb.
